Uttarakhand Institute of Open Schooling (UIOS) was established to provide quality education up to secondary level to the deprived students in the state of Uttarakhand, & All india to bring the boys and girls from weaker and poor sections of the society into the mainstream of education.is known as the Uttarakhand Institute of Open Schooling

Uttarakhand Institute of Open Schooling (UIOS) was established as an autonomous body to promote education at the state and national level, to act as a bridge between the government and the rural/backward sections of India.

Uttarakhand Institute of Open Schooling (UIOS) aims to become a facilitator of the government with the aim of bringing rapid change in the rural areas. We are committed to bridge this gap and provide education to SC/ST/OBC/General/School dropouts/Older people and other weaker, marginalized and deprived sections of the society so that they can be brought into the mainstream of education.

 To promote or uplift the deprived and underprivileged groups of the society, underprivileged sections and women in all aspects such as social, cultural, health, educational, economic irrespective of caste, creed, colour, religion or language and make them self-reliant through poverty eradication and illiteracy.

UIOS provides admission to the courses at affordable cost without compromising on the quality of education provided. This gives students/learners an opportunity to go directly to the employment sector or higher education level.
